Wildling

by DreamHero

100 years after the Calamity, the body of the fallen hero rises once again, but the being who steps out of the Shrine of Resurrection is no longer Hylia's Chosen Hero. A new life born without the Goddess's blessing, created by magics old and forgotten, something new and impossibly different took its first breaths.Where the Hero of Courage once fell, the Wildling now rises. “What are you?""A hero. Just not like you."........AKA: Breath of the Wild Link isn't actually a "Link" blessed with the Hero's Spirit or even the Triforce of Courage. He's something much different though no less important in the grand scheme of destiny. Too bad the Chosen Heroes of the past decide to drag him into their mission before he can fully figure out just what he is.

Wild Wolf

by Breanna

Being stuck as a coyote isn’t the adventure Link expected to have when he stepped into a cave. Then again, exploring in the middle of the night and touching strange gems wasn't his best idea. Yet here he is, no longer hylian, and certainly no longer down the hill from his house in Hateno and Zelda.Instead, there's another Link, a rancher in Ordon Village. It must be his job to accompany the new hero on his journey, just as two wolves helped him.Only...how many Links are they going to meet on this adventure? And what about the wolf family he lost?

Tapestry of Fate

by AdenaWolf

"A single thread in a tapestry, though its colour brightly shines, can never see its purpose in the pattern of the grand design..."For millennia, the Hero of Legend and Princess of Destiny have been bound together by fate. It's simple math, then, that putting them together as soon as possible will increase the odds of victory. Zelda doesn't care: it doesn't matter if this "Hero" will help her unlock her powers, she doesn't want him in her life! Especially not forever! The Zelink Arranged Marriage AU we all need.

A Step in the Other Direction

by feybaenc

A package wrapped in a silver ribbon arrives for the Hero of Hyrule—an Ocarina, to be exact. The thrum of power that the Master Sword hums to has Link on edge, but he has no one he can take it to. Except, of course, the one person who hates him most. Princess Zelda summons the champions and brings it to the Temple of Time—where they then uncover three stones and writings of a song on the wall that the Ocarina pulses to. Zelda is urged to play the song, only for them to find themselves one hundred years in the future, in a Hyrule they do not recognize. They want answers, and the rugged Hylian who claims to be a descendant of the Hero won't give them any. The more they dig around, the more they discover about what really happened one hundred years ago...**Now with DATES at the beginning of each chapter

Time is a Cryptic Old Man

by rhododendron_day (orphan_account)

Sky, figuring that the laughter signaled the end of the fight, reassured the villagers and walked over. He stared at the scene before him.“I hate you all,” Hyrule murmured as he climbed the lynel and pulled his blade from its behind. The Old Man sighed, but his lips were turned up. He looked over his counterparts for injuries. Finding none, he investigated the strange potion that had hit him. It looked like lime green milk that someone had dumped glitter in, but it had the consistency of syrup.  Or: Time gets de-aged into Mask. No one knows what is happening anymore. Warriors is an eternally underpaid babysitter.

The answer was obvious.Link had been kidnapped!Determination flared in her heart, a fire that made her fierce, sparked a bravery stronger than anything she’d ever felt before. The Fairy Queen

by Michdie

"King Link of the Fae was not to be trifled with, but her father, King Rhoam of Hyrule, went ahead and trifled anyway. He encroached on the Kokiri Forests and took the resources without consent of the people living there. He ignored their requests to cease, but was unprepared for their military might when they met in battle. The Kokiri forces brought the Hylians to their knees, and would only stop if king Rhoam gave into their every wish. One, he would never take from the Kokiri Forests without consent ever again. Two, the Kokiri could travel freely throughout Hyrule. And three, king Rhoam had to give up his daughter to be King Link's bride.Zelda’s father had no choice but to give into their wishes, and Zelda had no choice but to agree. And so, three days ago, two Kokiri guards arrived to escort her to the forest." Zelda is forced into marriage with the King of the Kokiri after he beat her father in war. She must navigate new experiences such as unexpected motherhood as she gets to know her new husband and realizes that he is not as he seems and puts everything she has ever known about her own parents into perspective.
