The mood in the room shifted; cheerful Mephisto was never good news. “Hello, Mr. Faust,” Yukio greeted the man, doing his best to sound welcoming, “to what do we owe this visit?” Mephisto theatrically took off his hat and grabbed something inside it. In a puff of pink, glittery smoke, he pulled out what looked like an official letter. “I have a special mission from the Vatican for you.” The students perched up in their seats, some looking curious, others looking nervous. “You will all be sent for a diplomatic meeting with a certain individual that the Vatican wants on their side.” Mephisto read while widely grinning. “Your job will be to get him to join the True Cross, while also gaining information on him and his weaknesses in case the alliance doesn’t work.”
