"There must be lead in Kyoshi’s makeup. She wears it far too often, anyway, and the metal in the paint must be leeching into her skin and causing some kind of reaction. There’s just no other explanation for it, Rangi decides. Kyoshi has officially gone off the deep end."Kyoshi suggests that Master Hei-Ran and Sifu Atuat are an item. Rangi takes it predictably poorly.

*this fic contains massive spoilers for Shadow of Kyoshi so I would highly suggest you read it before reading this ficAfter many months of hardship, it seems that peace may just be in arms reach. But Kyoshi is still trying to deal with the trauma of all that has happened ever since she became Avatar, not knowing how to properly cope with it. Rangi swears to help Kyoshi through all of it, as she realizes this burden isn't for her to bear alone anymore.

바늘 구멍으로 하늘 보기 (Viewing the sky through the eye of a needle): Having a very narrow view of the world and missing the big picture."Despite her friendship with Rangi, she and the headmistress were more distant than she and Jianzhu." (Rise Of Kyoshi, p116.)There was a reason for that.

Story of how Koko made her way into Kyoshi and Rangi's lives, followed by some sappy Kyoshi and Rangi parenting. I like to think there's a plot to this one, but over all its just Kyoshi and Rangi making major life decisions.

Is she tired? Kyoshi thinks she is. There’s no other way to describe the weight on her chest— not the quick, seizing pain accompanying the coldness of her mind, but instead something slow and heavy and almost comforting in the way it sinks into Kyoshi and does not stop.

"You dragged me over here to help you but you just won't accept any of my help! You leave your people to die and only care about some stupid agreement with the Avatar! Since Yun's out of the picture, you just wanted to be the first to take advantage of the new one! I'm sorry to disappoint you but I'm not going to do any of that!" She knew that something was fishy from the moment she had read their letter but she surely hadn't expected something like that. After seeing the conditions in which the people lived, she couldn't keep her calm. The leaders of the world were letting her down the one after the other. It didn't matter anymore. She was going to bring justice in her own way.Following the events after the Kyoshi Novels.

I think the title says it all. An angsty fic full of denial and agonizing acceptance of the inevitable. This story is not for the faint of heart, and I advice those sensitive to themes of death, illness, and loss not to read. Those willing, get a box of tissues and strap in. This will be about seven or eight chapters. Expect authors notes/epilogues at the end.
