The Line of Durin fell, and Bilba Baggins felt as if she fell along with them. Unable to find peace upon returning to the Shire, she takes to the road and spends her life alone, fighting to protect the weak, training in futility to fight a battle long since won, and to save those long since buried under stone. Her road is a lonely one, but one she feels she deserves for her failures to save the ones she loved. The One, she loved. She once thought she would find peace in death, and in the hope of seeing those she loved in the afterlife, but it seems even that is to be denied her, for as her eyes close in death, they open again - to find herself back in Bag End. And the date on the calendar is the day a wizard once appeared, and asked her to join in on an adventure.

Bilbo Baggins of Bag End was not a very respectable Hobbit. No respectable Hobbit had a sword and crossbow hanging in their home, nor did they have Dwarves as family. But Bilbo Baggins did, and all of Shire knew of his husband, blacksmith Thorin Oakenshield.When Bilbo comes home to find his Husband earlier than expected, he learns of a quest to reclaim Erebor. It is a death mission. Bilbo knows that Dwarves are stubborn creatures, and none more than Thorin himself. But nobody said that Bilbo himself was any less stubborn.So he will follow his dearest husband across all of Middle Earth, through plains and mountains and forests, all while hiding the true nature of their relationship (Dwarven politics never helped anyone), brushing off some old wounds (and getting new ones) and finding out new things about the dwarf Bilbo calls husband (and his extended family).Nobody ever said love was easy, after all.

Unfotunately said wizard didn't see it fit to inform the company that Bilbo was basically the king of the Shire. They didn't even know that the Shire had a leader!

After Gandalf accidentally creates, possibly, one of the biggest mistakes that a wizard can make; Bilbo is left with the mind and body of his 4 year old self. Being to far into the journey to drop of the confused hobbit, Thorn and his company are forced to take care of the small tyke as they make their way through Mirkwood and into the Lonely Mountain. Or The one where Bilbo gets turned into a kid and gains 13 overprotective uncles.

Belladonna Baggins is nearly 3 years past her majority and time is running out. If she doesn't find a husband soon she will loose not only her inheritance but Bag end and everything inside it as well. Just when she thinks she will have to settle for Bobby Bolger Gandalf shows up looking for a burglar. Dwarves won't let an unmarried female travel with them, and when Bella's cousin Fortinbras hears this he offers up a solution - have one of the Dwarves marry Bella, save her estate and she can travel to help them on their quest. Of course a contractual marriage of necessity isn't the best way to start a relationship, especially between two people who have vastly different cultures.
