All Bdubs could do when time finally ran out was stare at the sky, at the moon hurtling toward him, at the orange hue that made his stomach churn as flames grew in size and intensity. There was an irony that wasn’t lost on the man - the self proclaimed Time King suddenly wishing that he had more - and he chuckled. The moon was on a collision course with the Server - with him - and all he could do was laugh.

Moon hits the server, and Bdubs is directly in it's path. But Hermitcraft is not a permadeath server, no matter how much people seemed to scramble to get out of it's way. What happens when you respawn after the end of the world?

Grian is a certified man child, every hermit knew this. Pranks, silly builds and breaking every redstone machine within his reach is his forte and his friends are sure that he’s always been like that... right? As far as Grian’s bright ideas go, trespassing on the Area77 site and messing with complicated alien machinery might not have been his best one, as the hermits are sure to soon find out. Hijinks, hilarity, confusion and angst; all rolled into one shrunken bundle.

[GRIAN]So I’ve recieved a letter. The postman dropped it at the front desk; it’s addressed to ‘whoever has Etho’s job now, the VOID Institute, London.’ No return address, just the name ‘BDUBS.’ In all caps. I’ve only glanced at it so far, but it’s definitely intended as a statement. It’s a bit unusual, but we’ve had statements in letter form before, and I’m fairly sure there have even been a few mailed in over the years, so I figured I’d record this just like the others. So, statement of… Bdubs, no last name attached, regarding… my predecessor, I think. Received and recorded today, July 21st, 2022.

"Grian, where are you? You– you realise it's the charity event tonight, yeah?" Scar prods. “Please tell me you're on your way, dude.""'M not feeling good, Scar," Grian's words hitch breathlessly, his heart pounding in his ears, and admitting such a thing makes him feel like he's sinking."What?" Scar questions, the word peaking the speaker and hitting Grian's ears with an uncomfortable sharpness. "What do you mean? Gri, we're waiting on you–""I can't– I can't come," he sobs, lungs burning as he gasps shallowly, "I'm sorry- I'm so sorry."-aka; scar is orchastrating a huge charity event; grian is in the middle of a depressive slump. these things clash more than you think they'd be able to.
