Ashton brings the hammer down onto the creature's head. It goes limp. There’s a sound like cracking stone. He frowns down at the creature, but it lies still. “Um,” Laudna starts, in that wavering, worried way of hers, “is that...I don’t think that’s very good, you guys.” Ashton turns. The others are roughly grouped together, tense but slowly lowering their hands from weapons and spells. Every single one of them is staring at Orym, who is still crouched in his defensive stance. Orym, who is made of fucking stone. It looks like he’s been carved out of rough marble, though the details of his face and clothes are sharp. On their way out of the Feywild, the group encounters a creature that turns Orym to stone. With few options and less than two weeks before the Apogee Solstice, they take him to Zephrah, picking up Dorian and the Crown Keepers on the way. While everyone else returns to Marquet, Dorian and Fearne stay with their friend and try to figure out how to return him to normal.
