To be honest, when Danny got surrounded by the blobs for the first time, he got scared. It was after another Justice League fight he joined because he was flying by and, in his defense, he had very little clue on what was going on. He knew JL from one broadcast where they gave an emergency number if someone wanted newly established organization to help, and the blobs were screaming and crying, clinging to him mournfully, so unlike the ones from Amity Park that it was unsettling. Those ones seemed content with their simple lives and much preferred portal to any ghosts around.Danny thought that he knew what blob ghosts were. He wasn't super sure about their nature or anything more specific, but he broadly had an idea. Truth turned out to be way worse.
