Mocking Bird: The Mimic Hero

by Anonymous

Hundreds of years ago, humanity fell into chaos. Some sprouted scales, a horn, or a tail--whilst some could suddenly control the weather, the sea, or even the minds of others. They were called abnormalities--however, as humanity progressed, that term was erased and replaced with 'Powers.' As humanity progressed, so did society. If you were born with...let's say a large set of multi-colored wings, you're bound to be teased and bullied, because society deems it a disturbance. In ParrotX2's life... That seems to be just the case. Better known as: ParrotX2 has a screwed up life, but he makes it work. (Updates weekly/bi-weekly!)

heartstruck

by tempurabbg

Branzy's in need for some quick cash. He says yes to a sketchy commission that he normally wouldn't. It's quite a surprise when he learns the customer is Clownpierce, reputedly the most dangerous man in the city. And in a twist of events, he hires Branzy. So what do you do when you're a redstone genius that's deathly afraid of your employer? Flirt with him, obviously.— —Clown gave a lopsided smile, his teeth sharp. “When it comes to what really matters, the house always wins, love.”Branzy nodded thoughtfully, turning back to the machine. That makes sense then. He’s never been the best businessman—Rek was the expert on that normally. And—“Hang on,” Branzy suddenly said, turning back around, “What did you just call me?”Clown blinked innocently. He stared at Clown for a moment more, before abruptly turning back to the machine. Branzy poked around in the mechanical guts, trying to keep his heart from picking up speed. Had Clown been … he couldn’t have been. Could he? Was he flirting?— —Biohazardous weapons, blood, and flirting-but-not-really included. Not beta read.

by Nova (Lussy_Aztlan)

Capital City and its heroic forces, along with Law, always maintained a superficial facade of control, but when the roots are rotten, there's nothing left to support the branches. In the end, a crow doesn't pluck out another crow's eyes.

Safe And Sound

by HuntDue

When Branzy woke up after being suddenly attacked and knocked unconscious, the last thing he expected was to find himself in the arms of his absolutely terrifying business partner. It makes him start thinking that maybe, Clown does actually care about him, and maybe he shouldn't deny his feelings for the assassin anymore.

I miss the mountains

by Avsisflying

Flock.   Family.   Parrot lets his head drop onto her shoulder, tears dripping down his face. She’s shaking too, gripping him tightly. Distantly, he hears Branzy say something to Jumper, then step out of the room. He keeps hugging her, wrapping his wings around them both.   Or, Three times something lost was returned, and one time it was gone for good. (aka the 3+1 BAT reunion fic cause cannon is shit)

Jesters

by Atropa_isnt_the_end (BelladonnaAddict)

“So. New king?” Clown repeated his original question, much to Rekrap’s obvious displeasure. These general types always thought they were too good for the jester. They didn’t know how much blood this costume hid. “His name’s Branzy. Some long-lost relative, or something.” Rekrap sighed, looking around like he was nervous. “He’s nice. I used to know him. There’s… not many people left to fight him for it.” A jester, and his new master.

Midnight trains

by Bitter_dulcamara_heart (BelladonnaAddict)

Secret agent Clown happens to meet unemployed college graduate Branzy on a train back home. It ends shockingly well for both of them. After a fashion. Or, how:“Is this seat taken?” Branzy looked up, twitching slightly as he fumbled to pull his headphones off. “Uh- yep. I’m not waiting for anyone.” Turns into:“You are… something else, Branzy Craft.” “Aw, thanks. You seem pretty terrifying too. In a good way.” (For anyone who doesn't know Slow Horses; I've stolen someone else's M15 AU and made it about Minecrafters :3)
