Swashbuckling - noundaring and romantic adventure.Pirates are inherently gay, and did I think THIS would be the one thing I write a fic about? No. But! here we are.Quick context, May 11th Sega released costumes for Sonic dash, of Pirate Sonic and Captain Shadow, and that's gay, so I'm making a fic about it.There is no smut in this fic, If you comment anything stupid about this the comment will be deleted.

He grunted in disgust as he took off his drenched jacket and threw it on the deck. The red piece of clothing making a wet slap as it hit the worn wood planks. His ears flicked as he heard a quiet gasp on his right side.

JS SO YALL DONT HAVE TO SCOUR THE TAGS; THERE IS NO SMUT, but eventually, since this is a slow slow burn, sexual scenes will be kinda implied, but never blatantly stated or written. so you can have your own interpretation of what happened. also i do plan on describing violence heavily, as to make this realistic, but there will always be a warning before scenes like that‼️‼️ <3okay so i might kinda may be reposting this after a year because i kinda forgot abt it so YIPPEE IM WRITING AGAIN

Sonic stepped forward, his usual confidence lacing his voice. “Good evening, Captain! I hope I don’t interr—Cap’n?”The words died in his throat. His breath hitched as his brain scrambled to process what he was seeing.Shadow wasn’t in his usual uniform. His coat and hat lay discarded at his feet, forgotten relics of the hedgehog he had always been. His body was... different. Wrong. Something that Sonic never saw before.

Not far from them, a green giant ship cut through the waves with startling speed. The golden sunlight gleamed off its hull, illuminating the emblem on its mainsail—a snarling echidna wearing a pirate’s hat, two crossed swords beneath it. The ship’s yellow sails billowed wildly, greedily devouring the wind as if starved for speed.Shadow’s grip on the telescope tightened.“Dread.”
