He wanted to tell Balsa and Tanda that he found settling into his fate far more difficult than struggling with it. But it did not matter, it did not matter. He was the Holy Emperor of the New Yogo Empire. He was no longer Chagum; he had not been that boy in almost four decades.

Chagum returned to his palace, safe and sound with the help of Balsa, Tanda, and Torogai. While everything seems to be going well, something that seems normal at first sight upsets him when he looks at the plate.

With Kosenkyo flooded and the Mikado dead, Chagum must take on the responsibility of ruling a nation--but not before spending some quality time with his siblings first. (That is, if his guards allow it...and they totally do.)This makes a few references to my series "Traveler of the Wind," but can be read alone and is 100% canon-compliant. I wanted a little more from the ending we got, so this is it.If you want to read the canon ending, click here: https://guardianofthespirit.blogspot.com/2021/12/guardian-of-heaven-and-earth-new-yogo_70.html

Canon-compliant fic, with minor (tagged) tweaks, that starts during the events of the Jin manga and cuts to right before the start of the first novel. Shows the events of the series through the eyes of Taiga Amusuran, better known as Jin.Series title references Jin's Nayugu-like perception and manipulation of wind.

Crown Prince Chagum, now fifteen, is sent on a suicide mission by his jealous, paranoid father, the Mikado. Suddenly the prince must evade assassins, escape pirates, and match wits with powerful forces that seek to use him as a pawn against his own country. Shuga has sent an ally, but if Chagum is to survive he must do so alone. Takes place ~4 years after the anime. Adapted from the canon sequel to Guardian of the Spirit, 蒼路の旅人, by Nahoko Uehashi.

It’s Chagum’s birthday!Known as the Super Cool Lesbian Aunties, Balsa and Motoko decided to organise a supper at a restaurant to celebrate it; just the three of them together. For a successful birthday party, all what they need are: good wine, good food, gossips and, of course, a dessert.

GrandMa says I’m an ‘oops’ baby, ‘an accident’.I wasn’t expected, but both of my parents love me and I’m happy. And now, there’s that boy with us, five-years-older than me; his name’s Chagum… Is it normal that I'm scared to lose my place in this family? What if... Mom likes Chagum better than me?I have to make sure he doesn't replace me.(If you do enjoy my story, don't hesitate to leave comments; I answer mostly all of them with a big joy. And if you don't have time for, just a kudo is enough to show me your appreciation)

Post-canon. The war is over, the flood is ended, and Balsa and Tanda finally go home. Tanda struggles to remain a doctor with his handicap, so Chagum suggests going to the annual NYM (New Yogo Medical) Conference on the Rotan border, where doctors of all kinds meet to share new developments and research. While there, he meets an enigmatic doctor known as The Sculptor, who makes prosthetic limbs that look and act like real ones--for a price.

While reading/translating Moribito, I noticed a lot of themes around protection and defending what you care about. To that end, I proposed a Round-Robin style thematic challenge on the Moribito Discord server. The authors there (including me) have stepped up to write a ten-scene story based on the following themes, in order:(1) Running Away (Written by: Ainikki)(2) Seeking Solace (Written by: AlikaChan_Yonsa)(3) Vengeance (Written by: EvilReceptionistOfDoom)(4) Love (Written by: Ainikki)(5) Grief (Written by: EvilReceptionistOfDoom)(6) Never Again (Written by: SubaruBlue)(7) True Interior Self (Written by: AlikaChan_Yonsa)(8) Patience (Written by: Ainikki)(9) Protection (Written by: EvilReceptionistOfDoom)(10) A Place To Belong (Written by: wondrous-imaginator)Challenge based partially on this:100 Themes Challenge
