Some Nights
by GreyPetticoats
Some nights, Chell would find herself just standing outside the small shed in that wheat field, just staring at the door that lead to the Aperture Science Laboratories deep underground.

Small Blue Thing
by LadySwillmart
(Aperture Year c. ~2000) A meandering vignette (what I do best, I guess) about Chell in her Relaxation Vault, mulling over a number of loosely related things, as one does when one is lying in bed, trying (or so totally not trying) to get to sleep before Stasis Mode kicks in.Actually, the impetus for this short story came from a comment someone left on another one I wrote (which I will post next week), which recalled a scene where Doug Rattmann met Chell on an elevator shortly before the latter went into stasis. They asked, would Chell have recognized Doug when next they met? And me being me, of course I had no satisfying answer... (But just as a friendly reminder, Chell and Doug are twin siblings in this series of fics 😅)Also includes (and in fact, starts with) "Part of a Balanced Breakfast", a drabble concerning basically the same subject in the same place, at roughly the same time period.

The Resurrection Project
by SarcasticGayPotato
"It should be said that if there’s one thing you shouldn’t do inside of Aperture Science, it’s poke your nose where it doesn’t belong." Aperture holds many secrets, some even unknown to its own robotic Queen. When GLaDOS stumbles across one of these secrets, it changes her life forever.

A Little Human
by starsailorwrites
As Chell has been developing a tremor in her hands, GLaDOS goes to check her medical records to see if any medicine could potentially work. She, who long has thought Chell to be mute, is shocked to realize she's been wrong: Chell is deaf.

Thawing
by clefairytea
“You probably do not think this is cruel,” GLaDOS says suddenly, not taking her gaze from the mouse for a second, “After all, you have such enormous capacity for cruelty, I doubt you can recognise mistreatment even when it is right before your eyes. However, a normal human with basic abilities of empathy, love, and compassion, would correctly identify my treatment of this animal as cruel.”Chell says nothing.“However, if this experiment were to be submitted to an ethics committee, it would receive full approval. Cruelty, in and of itself, is not wholly banned in science, after all. It is simply needless cruelty, the kind you excel in, that is not permitted. What I am doing is necessary for testing conditions. What I do is the only way for knowledge to progress.”--Chell, GLaDOS, and the end of the world.

The Wheatley Parable
by Thursdays_Dove
This is the story of a core named "Wheatley". That's it. That's all there is. Would you like to know more? [YES] [NO]Wheatley gets another chance… or two… or three… or four… whether he likes it or not. And so long as he does it the Narrator’s way, of course.
