Clockwork was not usually the type to meddle. He preferred to watch from afar, monitoring and observing. Unless, of course, something forced his hand. The new Ghost King was a child, one in a very precarious position. It would be far to easy for him to be pushed too far and end up as a danger to the universe. The ghost of time had no choice but to step in. aka Clockwork sends Danny to a universe where he'll be safe until he can take up the mantle of Ghost King, a dimension far away from the Fentons and other ghost hunters.
