Chrono Trigger
Fighting Fate
by Kasienda
“You need to stop,” Crono whispered. “I can’t,” she entreated. “They need me.” “You won’t be able to heal anyone else if you kill yourself,” he snapped at her knowing that she was pouring more of herself into the healing than anyone else in the room realized. Icy blue eyes glared at him in defiance. “I’ve handled my abilities for years,” the princess countered. “I would bet that you’ve never had to face these kind of conditions – with so many in need all at once.” “And could you stop?” she demanded. “If you knew that by staying you could save someone’s life?”

A Sense of Humour
by matchagotcha
“We have all the time in the world,” Lucca reminded him through gritted teeth, knowing damn well Crono had very little time left. Ineffective healing magic and dangerous attempts at bloodletting would not prolong his life. Perhaps it would make more sense simply to kill him.A story of medieval medical misconceptions, the inability to take prehistoric badasses seriously, running out of batteries, a spooky scary skeleton, Lucca's lack of energy for everyone's bullshit, prehistoric barbecue, "animal" abuse in heavy quotation marks, and Magus receiving a happy ending. Whether the ending can be construed as happy for any other character is anyone's guess.

All the Things
by abyssobrotulaCronos
From a conversation with a friend: "Can you imagine if, by the end of the game, when they all got to the castle, the king offered Marle's hand to Crono and Lucca was like 'um. i'm the one who wants it tbh'" this is exactly it, with 1000% more fluff and a nice kingdom.

Echoes in Time
by kserasera
Echoes in Time is a sequel to Zeal Ascendancy.Janus of Zeal would do anything to return to Lucca in the present. His actions have lasting consequences, just as the group's actions during their adventure to stop Lavos had consequences. What impact will it have on their future? Their children's futures? And what of the Mystics in Medina... how did the war and Yakra's failed coup affect their lives? Only time will tell...

Unknown Destiny
by Osidiano
Ficlet response to an April 12th, 2009 challenge; prompt was "choose good actions without good knowledge." As I was getting all the possible endings in the game, I wondered why Crono bothered to do any of it. It occurred to me that he might not know either.
