Beyond that, it is risky business. Suspicion and loyalty are as much currencies in the trade of sedition as any material good, and the more conspirators a revolutionary knows, the more they could put those conspirators at risk. Only the most confident, foolish, or lonely of revolutionaries would allow themselves to mingle freely at a gathering of their peers.But here tonight, as one year dies and another is born, December has brought them out.
