I BUILT MYSELF A METAL BIRD - Gothic horror/ Fantasy novella with a Fat Metal Bird
by acrid_lilac
God is the Grand Designer, the architect, of both flesh and machine; He shall not allow deviancy from his Plan. From bacteria to man, he has so designed his life to be part machine to better serve Him, and His people are the Engineers, furthering man towards his mechanical limit.Engeru is the best friend and fiancée to such an engineer: Tzipora, a brilliant woman with a troubled past, who may have cracked the secret to mechanical life. However, neither Tzipora's faith nor Engeru's influence shall explain the as-of-yet hidden secret of mechanical invention - as the light on the night-garden of knowledge grows, we learn just how much is hidden.
