"Oh God, does he have amnesia? Combeferre's voice sounds anxious like it almost never does and Enjolras has already opened his mouth to respond before it occurs to him that he didn't see Ferre's lips move." Enjolras develops telepathy after a head injury at one of Les Amis rallies. He has to come to terms with suddenly being able to read his friends' most private thoughts--especially those of Grantaire, who was also hurt in the rally.

"You don’t look convinced," says Enjolras. "I can’t see this restaurant going vegan. We’re in France.""Two percent of France’s population avoids animal products to some extent," Enjolras crosses his arms. "They’re a valuable target group.""And yet," Grantaire wags a finger at Enjolras, "It strikes me that 98 percent is the bigger number."a.k.a. Feuilly moves to a new city to start over. He plans to keep his head down this time, to work an 8 to 5 job and keep to himself and settle for getting by. His hopes are modest, reasonable: He hopes to keep up on his loan payments, to get along with his coworkers, to get through another Christmas alone. He doesn't plan on getting sucked into a group of literacy activists who care way too much, on getting involved in trying to fix the world again, on stumbling into people who actually seem to care about him. He doesn't plan on being happy.

The barista is leaning against the display case, alone now that his coworker has muttered something and disappeared through some hidden back door, surveying the tables of customers. Courfeyrac walks right up to him and leans casually against the other side. “So, is everything the light touches your kingdom?” (Or: the one in which Courfeyrac is a vlogger whose videos revolves around him attempting to do other people's jobs for a day; Combeferre is one of the lucky ones. The rest, as they say, is history.)

For coldsteelrail. The prompt was: jehan and feuilly are homoromantic asexual but they both think they are the only ones. they have crushes on each other and eventually, as they spend time together, they find their feelings are mutual and there is much cuddling and nuzzling, nosey noseying and smooching. flowers and odes to beautiful hands and you get the idea. A word of warning, this turned out a little angsty at the beginning, but no worries, it's all good in the end :)!

Maybe they differ the most in their dispositions, in the way they react to injustice. Where Feuilly bruises, Enjolras bleeds.

Wherein sexual and romantic attraction can be different and confusing, and Feuilly honestly doesn't even know what he wants from Bahorel, but he knows he definitely wants that giggling girl's hand off Bahorel's arm, that's for damn sure.

Feuilly has never felt anything close to love, especially not the kind of selfless, beautiful and unconditional love everyone talks about feeling nowadays. He's not entirely convinced he's worthy of it. Then he meets Bahorel.

Modern AU in which Les Amis de l’ABC are university students who work at the Musain Grille restaurant. --- It was cheesy, he knew, but Jehan just felt so safe standing there in the cold, his hands clasped behind his boyfriend’s back, holding on like he never intended to let go. In Feuilly’s arms, he felt like he was finally in one piece - a necessary half of a whole - and nothing could ever hurt him again. (Or the story of how Jehan has a really, really big secret.)
