Foolish was a god.That much was clear from his towering stature, aureate complexion, and ability to conjure lightning at a whim, not to mention that he’d lived long enough to give up on counting the years. Mortals didn’t have these qualities, so it had always stood to reason that Foolish was not mortal. It was simply a fact; an indisputable truism of the perpetually contradictory world in which Foolish spent his days. He had solved that particular puzzle of his nature eons before he was invited to the Dream SMP.And suddenly, that puzzle was violently broken, leaving him scrambling to pick up the pieces with numb fingers. —=—SPOILERS FOR THE RED BANQUET.

“Oh- Foolish. I didn’t, uh… didn’t see you there,” it’s sheepish and awkward and vulnerable, of all things (but Foolish doesn't mind, he likes to listen to the soft rumble of Sam’s voice). “It’s okay. Don’t know how you could miss me, though…” Foolish forces out a grin, to try and de-escalate the situation and calm down Sam. He was panicky and acting flighty, sending swift glances over his shoulder and behind Foolish. Was he looking for someone? Was someone after him? Foolish reaches out to give Sam’s bicep a gentle squeeze, and the man flinches so hard that Foolish just ends up reeling back. Sam looks like he’s either going to punch someone or burst into flames, and Foolish knows very well that the only thing keeping him from bolting back to his islands was Foolish himself. Or, memories of your youth, feelings under footsteps, and trying to comfort a friend who's lost himself to the weight of responsibility.

Maybe he ran because he was selfish, maybe he ran because of how strict and suffocating everything was with being a prince, and young. He chooses to believe he had a good reason to pack up and run-Or: Wilbur is a prince whos tired of being a prince so he runs(Not RPF, based on dream smp)
