She slapped a hand over her mouth at once, muffling the rest of her cry as it trailed off into a strangled whimper, her body trembling as she shut down her terror. She had gotten better at this, over the last few years, reeling her terror back inside of herself, slamming a lid on the memories, silencing herself upon waking before she even knew where she was or what had happened, before she had even opened her eyes. Silence was safer - silence was vital. She couldn’t let her father hear her. ________ Elphaba Thropp's magic is powerful - too powerful for her to control. Especially while she sleeps, nightmares throwing the room into chaos as her magic lashes out, trying to protect her. All too often, growing up with a father like hers, it does the opposite. She learns it's best to suffer in silence.

So I started reading the Wicked Years series and it’s so good so far. But, there was one part of the first book so far that has inspired me to make a short little story slash character study slash I have absolutely no idea what this is and I thought of it at like 11:30 pm. If you have the books or at least have read the first book, then you’ll understand this, probably. If you go to the Muchkinlander section of the book and turn to the Geographies of the Seen and the Unseen, there’s a part right near the beginning where Frex has his little moment with Elphaba and thus an idea was born in my head. Now, I’m not going to spoil any of it but you can probably guess what this story is going to be about. Enough chit chat, I hope you all like the story and if you do, feel free to leave a comment. Hiding in the shadows, becoming a fighter of her own, surviving off scraps, or did you stop trying to look for her when you're great-grandfather wisps in your ear of being The Eminent Thropp." It's harsh, and Fiyero lets out a whistle at the scathing remark. Nessa's face burns at the slight, but she takes a deep breath, showing restraint. "What happened to her? Answer me that at the very least?" "Death." They say in trade, and Fiyero's hand starts to twitch at the itch beginning to build up on his neck and on the back of his head. OR The three buffoons stay in Munchkinland for a bit, and Galinda and Fiyero find out why in-laws suck.
