Under ordinary circumstances, Gale's quite happy to let Astarion go his way and keep well clear of sharp words and sharper teeth, but, well, these are hardly ordinary circumstances. For one, they're well past due for ceremorphosis, so there's scarcely time to waste. For another, quite a lot of things have gone missing from Gale's tent just lately, and he rather he suspects that he knows where they've ended up.So Gale braces himself, and he pokes his head into Astarion's tent not long past dawn, ready to make his case. "Astarion," he says, "Have you seen my – gods above, so this is where all the pillows have gone."It really is an absurd amount of pillows. Seven – no, eight of them, one half-hidden by the sheer bulk of the others. There are three blankets, too, and a bedroll, and what looks like a thick carpet underneath it all. Along the tent's far wall, lined up in rows, stand a half-dozen bottles of blood, in varying stages of empty."My word," says Gale, caught between taken aback and genuinely impressed. "Where does this all fit in your pack?"
