Garp taught Luffy how to be a marine and uses that knowledge to break into a government facility

by Dezace

Garp wanted Luffy and Ace to be Marines, so he taught them what a good marine should know and how to do it. While Ace and Luffy obviously didn't become marines, that knowledge was, literally, pounded into their heads. With Ace captured and set for execution, Luffy uses that knowledge to bust his brother out of prison.Or: Why Garp shouldn't have taught an upcoming rookie what Marine codes meant because all it led to was the chaos a pirate could use it for.

Fire Dog and Fire Fist

by Everlude

Garp wasn’t sure what the tiny tiger-dog-puppy-thing was, but he figured it would make a good companion for Ace.The problem?I’m that tiny tiger-dog-puppy-thing, and I’m actually a growlithe. Figuring out how to live in a new world with new instincts and abilities is interesting to say the least.Ace named me Captain, though I’m often called Cap, or pup, or—well, you get the idea. This is my story—our story—of growing up in the wild forests and jungles of Mt. Colubo, the trash heaps of the Terminal, and the ravines of Dawn Island.___________________________________________________[PKMN side of things may be inaccurate for story purposes][Chronological drabble/vignette series] [Not an SI]

by Dezace

Garp knew that his grandsons wouldn't learn how to be marines through normal means, so he taught them early so they won't ever forget. That may not be a good thing considering that they are pirates and his stupid grandson just broke his other shitty grandson out of prison.
