Death Note (Anime & Manga)

Black Widow

by ImogenSmiley

She had waited for so long to feel her rotten heart flutter like it did in the company of Misa. It was only after spending time with the beautiful blonde that Rem understood why Gelus was so enamoured with her. But, Gelus was dead, and Rem was still alive. Misa never knew him, and that meant she needn’t mourn for him. No, Rem just had to be with her, be with Misa. She would kill for her, and as much as she didn’t want to admit it, she would, happily die for her. To her, Misa was the eighth wonder of the world. Better than any of the others.

Paper Burns (and so do Hearts)

by Absinth3_Mind3d

But geniuses were fickle creatures. Geniuses got bored. And L was incredibly bored. No case had really, truly challenged him since Beyond’s (another person was framed for that fiasco as well, and L made sure they stayed locked away. He never claimed to be a particularly moral person, he did what served him). That’s when Beyond had the brilliant little idea to make a case out of the book. To make the police chase them this time. To watch them flounder and fail. To step in and catch the killer. To play the ultimate game. ----If L and Beyond had caught Gelus' eye instead of Misa and subsequently received his death note before Ryuk even got the chance to drop his

More Than the Girl

by MonaLuisa

The girl’s face went white as ash. “I was supposed to die the other day?” she asked in a daze. “Why am I still alive?”“I just told you, a Shinigami saved your life by killing the man who would have done it. You ought to be grateful.”Her comments didn’t seem to help the girl, who groaned and wrapped her arms around herself.Hesitantly, Rem placed a hand on her shoulder, shocked by the strange sensation of it.There was a word for it, she remembered. Warmth.
