Circumstances conspired to force Monsieur le Maire and his inspector to huddle for warmth. Javert was none too pleased by this development. We do not know about the mayor.

by cuphugaddict
Okay, so first thing you need to know about me, my name is Gymont. Second, I’m a horse. You may think now that’s stupid, but let me tell you, us horses, we know quite a lot of things. Sometimes even more than you humans do.

The Chains of Redemption
by Growley1240
What if Javert had jumped into the water after Jean Valjean at the hospital? Only to remember right before he hit the surface the in his refusal to let Valjean escape again, he completely neglected the fact that he can’t swim. He begins to slip under the water, refusing to make a sound or cry for help, when he feels a strong arm grab him. He loses conciousness as he’s being dragged through the water. Later in the hospital, Jean Valjean long gone from Montreuil-sur-Mer, Javert is told that Monsieur Le Maire had saved his life that night. Javert can do nothing by lay there and accept it as his world is turned on its axis (a whole 9 years early). The real question? What will he do when he gets out of the hospital?

“Papa, I Want a Pony!”
by TheFullMonty
“Like most girls her age, she only wanted one thing. Cosette had been relentless in her endeavours to acquire herself a pony ever since a chanced meeting with Javert on patrol atop his noble police horse.” ————————- Teenage Cosette wants a pony. Valjean obliges. As per usual, this is an established Valjert relationship because it’s all the more funny when Javert (a seasoned horse rider) must teach his tiny step daughter about the simplicities of riding a horse and the complexities of polite society. Also surprise Marius content (kind of)

I hope you enjoy this!I like to think Javert spent many summer days riding for sport even if he tells himself he's patrolling or ensuring that Gymont is always in top shape.

The Swan Prince
by wolfwithpanthereyes
Prince Jean and Prince Javert were arranged to be married from a young age. Those plans were spoiled by misunderstandings, and further complicated by a power-hungry sorcerer kidnapping Prince Jean and casting a spell that transformed him into a swan. It's a J/JVJ Swan Princess AU, how else am I meant to explain it?
