Hammerhead didn’t like the Nektons. He didn’t. They were enemies of the Dark Orca, nothing more and nothing less. Sure, he respected them. But ‘respect’ didn’t mean ‘like’. Hammerhead didn’t like some of the other pirate crews roaming around, filled with a cockiness that made them look foolish, and a twisted perception on what it meant to be pirates. Putting a smear on the culture of piracy and doing stupid things for even stupider reasons. Hammerhead didn’t like them even more than he didn’t like the Nektons. But on what should have been an ordinary day, Hammerhead finds himself with a panicked Ant Nekton on his hands, injured by one of those amateurish pirate crews, and the Dark Orca the only other submarine currently around. Hammerhead winds up having to be momentarily responsible for Ant, making sure he doesn’t bleed out, at least until the Aronnax arrives and takes him off his hands again. +++ Basically Ant’s not having a good day and Hammerhead is being forced to use all fifteen of his parenting skills on him until his actual parents pick him up
