a ghost out of his grave
by aloneintherain
Jingyi frowned. “So, what? You went into the Burial Mounds willingly?”Wei Wuxian smiled and it felt all wrong on his face. When he had accepted this mission, he hadn’t expected to hold a lesson about something that still left him gasping for breath in the middle of the night. “I was thrown from a sword by Wen Chao. I was—unwell at the time, so when I hit the ground—” He laughed. “Splat.”“Splat,” Jingyi echoed, eyes wide. (The juniors interrogate Wei Wuxian about the Burial Mounds—and quickly regret asking.)

Send Me Your Earnest Love
by goneforthestars
Distraught would be a bit of an understatement for the way that Lan Sizhui is feeling right now. It’s the dead of night, they’re surrounded by the unmoving bodies of once fierce corpses—and his father has turned into a baby.“…What do we do with it?” Jin Ling says with a scrunched nose.“Don’t call him an ‘it!’ That’s Hanguang-jun!” Jingyi retorts, arms crossed.

sing to that lonely child
by ravenditefairylights
Lan Sizhui grows up missing someone. It’s in the music of a dizi, in a paper butterfly, in the way he rubs his nose unconsciously when he’s upset, in the red ribbon he keeps tucked away, in a million little things he knows even though no one has told him.Lan Sizhui knows he’s missing his mother. It’s what makes the most sense; his father is grieving, and his mother isn’t here with them to sing him to sleep like Jingyi’s used to do. He can’t remember his mother, and that’s what hurts the most; he doesn’t understand how he can mourn her properly when he doesn’t even remember her. or the one where Lan Sizhui grows up missing someone he thinks is lost to him forever, gets his memories back and realizes that he was missing the right person in the wrong name, and finally gets his other father back.

by oh_fudgecakes
Three years from the end of the novel, Wei Wuxian continues to live freely, albeit quietly, resigned to keeping silent amidst continued hostility from Yunmeng Jiang, and the cultivation world at large. However, as old grievances tighten around him, threatening to ensnare him in a plot to put him to trial, he and Lan Wangji must find a way to defend his actions. Jiang Cheng turns out to be an unexpected ally. This turn of events may very well force them to confront the wrongs they have committed against each other, and apologize for past feuds.Alternative summary: Am I The Asshole? Yunmeng Jiang loyalists plot to have Wei Wuxian publicly labeled as The Asshole. Jiang Cheng is bewildered, seeing as he thinks that The Asshole is himself. In other news, when you’re both bad at talking about feelings, mutually unrequited forgiveness happens.

seeds across the ground
by idrilka
“What’s with all the ruckus, eh?” Wei Wuxian asks as he opens the Jingshi door, to be met with the red, sweaty faces of Ouyang Zizhen and Jin Ling. “Can’t you be a little nicer at this hour of the morning?” The two share a look between them. “Senior Wei,” Ouyang Zizhen says, eyes wide and desperate, looking halfway close to tears, “Sizhui and Jingyi are missing.” When Sizhui and Jingyi go missing during a routine night hunt, Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji follow a trail that leads them back to their son. On the way, their past catches up to them.
