So maybe he’s working longer just to stay where Lucy’s presence still lingers. Tim's clocked in on overtime and paperwork, sitting at his desk and nursing a twinge in his back when Nyla calls his name across the bullpen. “Bradford! Your kid’s here.”

give a little light (to get a little love back)
by fromiftowhen
She used to dread getting off after night shifts. Sometimes, though. Sometimes getting off when it’s just hitting daybreak, right before the traffic really amps up and the neighborhood gets rowdy with kids running for bus stops, when it’s just quiet and birdsongy and still — sometimes it’s worth all the hassle. OR -- Tim and Lucy spend time together as the sun comes up.

Requiem
by that_1_incident
Tim keeps getting lost in his thoughts, dark and swirling and half-pulling him back to his childhood, to raised voices and closed fists and the tart fetor of tequila—but each time he returns to himself, he finds Lucy sitting beside him on the couch, quiet and still. (ANOTHER continuation of that Chenford scene in "The Rookie" 4x09, "Breakdown" lolol you know how I do; fulfills the "falling asleep on them" prompt on my Chenford Bingo 2021 card.)

“I wish we could stay like this forever.” So much of this week has been new -- their first long vacation, no work stress or drama creeping in, two rings heavy on her left ring finger -- but his eye roll is familiar and sexy and warms her to the bone, hotter than the sun could ever hope to be. “Pretty sure you’ve said that before,” he shrugs, smirking at her as she returns his eye roll. OR -- Tim and Lucy honeymoon at the beach.

A Dog's Wait
by codechen (somejazzinthemorning)
Kojo is a good dog. He loves his dad, the sun-warmed floors, and the birds in the backyard. But since she left, the house has become too quiet, too tidy, and Dad doesn't smell right anymore. Plus, the new cardboard boxes in the garage can only mean one thing: they're leaving. Kojo can't let that happen. If they pack up and go, what will happen if she comes home? OR Chenford Homecoming through Kojo's eyes.

“You really did do an incredible job today,” Tim tells her, echoing his earlier statement in his office.Lucy raises a brow. “Oh? Are you saying that as Watch Commander Tim or LIBF Tim?”Tim chuckles and scoots his chair closer to hers. “Watch Commander Tim.” He rests his hand on her knee, tracing circles with his thumb. “LIBF Tim would probably say something about how insanely hot you looked taking charge and showing up those secret service assholes.”orTim, Lucy, and Kojo go out for dinner post 8x02

Dreams Are Made of This
by Ellitheria
"I cannot cook for you knowing that there's nothing on under that shirt," he says, frowning, and Lucy grins. "Easy access, though," she responds coyly, but reluctantly puts on a pair of Tim's boxers when he holds them out to her. "We will never eat," he insists, and Lucy's laugh follows him all the way into the kitchen. Less than half an hour later she's sitting on the counter beside him as he stirs the Alfredo sauce. Kojo is sleeping in his bed in the corner of the kitchen, and it's nice, calm and quiet, and he likes it more than he probably should.
