A version of Kuina survives, and fate spins on.(“I’m Zoro,” he tries again, “and I’m going to be the world’s greatest swordsman.” “Kuina,” she says, and I am going to fly.)

Amidinine
by greenyogurtelephant
“Are you… are you not an elf?" Zoro backtracked, bewildered. He looked Sanji up and down, taking in the golden cascade of hair and elegant braids, the delicate points of his ears, his lithe build. The finely embroidered brocade of his clothing shimmered, pale blue threads iridescent as they caught the light. Everything about him, down to his captivating, dignified poise was unmistakable. “Am I missing something?”“No…” Sanji said slowly, narrowing his eyes. “You’re not missing anything.”

where we will, we'll roam
by Origamidragons
When he stepped into her room, she was bent over her bed, packing a bag, her movements sharp and angry, all barely-contained violence. He wondered if she’d be an even better duelist, like this, with rage burning in her veins. She didn’t look up at him, didn’t acknowledge him at all for a moment or two. He closed the door behind him and leaned against it, and waited.“I’m leaving,” she finally said, the words bitten-off and raw. She still didn’t look up at him. (A series of one-shots set in an AU where Kuina lives and becomes a bounty hunter together with her best friend, and then, without really meaning to, becomes a pirate.)

Crystals
by NMTD
Then she died, and he was still alive days later. Her crystal rested on the chest of her dead body. His felt cold against his skin. He yanked it from his neck and crushed it into a million pieces with a stone, making sure it'd never light up again. He couldn't leave it among the rubbles, so he found a small compartment on Wado's hilt where he clumsily hid the mixture of string and dirt and tears and shards of his emerald green crystal before sealing it shut.He didn't need a soulmate anyway.

falling in love with the part, the whole (easy as 1 2 3)
by AYakshaDreams
When Sanji finds meals that are simple yet carefully cooked left for him in the galley, he notes that the mystery chef has a clear talent with knives, and seems determined to give him the freshest ingredients. Though Sanji has long since learned to love every part of a dish, that didn’t usually include its chef. Yet he finds himself able to make an exception, falling for the comforting stability of it all.Or: in an AU where due to Kuina pestering him, Zoro actually learned how to cook.

bury your albatross in a shallow grave
by swordsmans
A breeze drifts through the quiet foliage, and Zoro squints against the glaring sunlight overhead. He doesn’t recognize anything—not even the climate—and after a moment he closes his eye again, heaving a sigh that draws out into a kind of aggravated groan, because sure, fantastic, incredible. No swords, no crew, no memory. Typical day on a new island, then. Suddenly, a dark blur drops down from above, landing in a crouch, and all of Zoro's muscles tense. He hadn't sensed anyone else, so how— A blond kid stands in front of him, worn top hat on his head and a long, lethal-looking metal pipe in his hands. He's dressed well, in a dirty but clearly expensive blue-shaded suit that seems ridiculous on a child—and he looks absolutely, utterly pissed. “Don’t move!” the kid shouts, brandishing his weapon. Then, softer—more serious—he spits, “Who are you, and what the hell did you do with my little brother?”
