Her hair is so long that it nearly touches the pavement while she’s bent over like that. He takes so long to answer that Tanaka stands up straight again. Her cheeks are flushed bright red. “What delinquent ways?” Reki finally asks. Or: Someone likes Reki. If only there was one tiny thing different about him. Surprising no one except Reki, Langa is possessive and/or jealous over it. Now with added love letters, confessions, bisexual crises, and dubious skateboarding knowledge.

How Joe became a father figure to two highschoolers and one middle schooler he’ll never know. It went from “Joe can you teach me this move?” to “Joe what does #$%#$%@ mean and what does it have to do with my skating?” far too quickly. OR Reki asks Joe to help him bake Valentines Day cookies for his mom and sisters, and Joe has to help because who else can help him besides the best chef around?

“Beginning scan of Red son,” Carla chimed. “Carla scan denied!” Reki shouted at Carla. “No longer scanning.” Carla chimed again, ending her scan and stopping the red light from coming out of the watch. Cherry whipped his head to stare Reki down as Reki continued avoiding eye contact, “Did you code override Carla?” OR Reki skillfully avoids all questions until the problem is no longer avoidable.

The day after Adam announces Reki will be taking Shadow's place in the tournament, Snake walks into Sia la luce. Kojiro thinks Snake can help Reki win against Adam - that is, until... "It's you!" Reki shouts. "You're the one from the love hotel!" Kojiro hears something snap. Only later will he realize it was the wooden spoon he'd just been holding.

Why else would I kiss you?” he replies, honestly bewildered. “You like me, too, right?” Reki just presses one hand to his own face and starts laughing out loud. The Kiss as it should have happened in episode 12.

There were two universal truths for college students that Langa had come to realize during his first semester: ‘8 AMs’ were a product of Satan himself and coffee (or any other form of caffeine, really) was man’s true best friend. So it came as no surprise that he stopped by the coffee shop every Monday morning before class and when he needed a pick-me-up. Whether the mood boost was due to the caffeine or the barista who was like sunshine incarnate and always spelled his name wrong on his cup, that was becoming harder to tell with every visit. Or, in an attempt to flirt, barista Reki spells Langa's name on his drinks in the most ridiculous ways possible, and it goes completely over Langa's head.

So he turned in his badge and left. That night was almost the last night of his life. What use was he anyway? Something was really wrong with Reki. It took Kojiro longer than he’d like to admit to see that it was worse than he thought. At first, he brushed Reki’s odd behavior off as some form of coping after his beef with Adam—he couldn’t blame him, Kaoru had acted weirdly after his beef too. Kojiro, Kaoru, and Hiromi (who was, thankfully, out of the hospital at the time) sat Reki down a couple days after the race and gave him the “it’s okay to not be okay” talk (they didn’t want to overwhelm him immediately after the race). And Reki did what he always did—he smiled cheekily and told them he was fine. Sure, “fine”. But Kojiro had been a kid once too—a stupid reckless kid who buried himself in skating and covered his feelings with thick fog, so he didn’t push it. [or, reki has been acting weird since his beef with ad*m and the sk8 fam is worried]
