A True King

by hatredwithpassion

Ling Yao fell to his death on the Promised Day with lingering regrets and the taste of ashes in his mouth. The Xing Prince opened his eyes to a new world where he became the heir to a prestigious clan, the Hyuuga Clan. Weighed down by his failures to become the Xingese Emperor, Ling vows to use his second chance to become the ruler he wished to be - a ruler for his people.   In other words, Ling Yao is reborn and is very unimpressed with the state of politics of Konohagakure. He decides to revamp his entire clan system, collect a number of powerful allies and rallies to remove the bird cage seal.   --- “A king exists for his people.” He spoke resolutely as he gazed at his father with hard steely eyes. “Without his subjects, a ruler cannot exist. If you sacrifice your own people, you will become a monster.”

Ling Wen and Shi Qing Xuan establish the communication array, and then Ling Wen leaps into the well and disappears. Shi Qing Xuan walks over and sits in front of Xie Lian and Hua Cheng. "So," she says. "Dianxia. Crimson Rain Seeks Flower. Fancy meeting you here." -- Book 1 ended on a cliffhanger. I fell off. Ling hardly remembered meeting the pavement in a hunger-induced collapse. One minute, he was dragging his feet against the disturbing unevenness that’d followed him all across Amestris, and the next, he was staring at the most beautiful boy he’d ever seen. OR: the one where Edling start dating early into Brotherhood, and Ling is STILL pining.

It takes three assholes to raise a child

by atomicmuffin

Deep down, Pei Ming always knew the day he would stumble upon one of his many mistakes waiting for him on his doorstep would come. "LING WEN! SHI WUDU" He yelled as he stormed back inside their flat, holding the baby at arm's length like a hot potato. "WHAT DO I DO?" "Build a time travel machine and cut off your past self's dick before you can impregnate this snot and shit factory's mother," Ling Wen suggested, casually sipping on her seventh's cup of coffee of the morning. "Throw him in the trash bin and pretend you can't hear him screaming," Shi Wudu snorted. "Don't get caught though. I'm not bailing you out of jail again." "You two are awful human beings," Pei Ming said like this was astonishing news to him. Or: someone thought it was a good idea to abandon a baby by Pei Ming's doorstep. It was not.

Ling swung around, stepping down the edge of the roof, right hand going spontaneously behind his back to reach for his sword. The moment his foot hit the ground was also the moment his hands closed around thin air, reminding him that he didn’t have his sword anymore.Nor his own clothes.Nor, after a second of shock, his own body.Said body, once again in Greed’s hands, didn’t stop the spin Ling had started and fell on its ass.

look up for love

by angelbolt

Whatever. The point is, all in all, that it really is teenage drama; unimportant. It’s normal but not appropriate due to the circumstances. So what if Ed has eyes like gold and Ling sometimes gets through the hours of being backseat to his own body by trying to count the sun-borne freckles on his nose? So what if despite everything, Ed still considers them friends and talks to him like nothing’s different? So what if when they have nightmares—So what, so what, so what.
