Luz Noceda was not normal--everyone at Gravesfield High knew that. Even the kids who hadn’t been witnesses to her antics had heard about them second- or third-hand. She’d gotten kicked out of cheerleading from being gross, had been to the principal’s office too many times for anyone to keep an accurate count, and had even been called “too extra” by the theatre kids of all people.Everyone had known it was only a matter of time before her parents would get involved and try to straighten her out. And sure enough, just as June came around, the word broke out: Luz Noceda was off to “Reality Check Summer Camp.” Her friendlier classmates--not friends, she didn’t exactly have many of those--had hoped that she wouldn’t hate it too much.
