Psychopomp and Circumstance
by flypaper_brain, LoveThemFiercely, QueenOfCarrotFlowers & more
Mythological Creatures Day brought Sirens to mind, they're some of my favorite creatures. But I wasn't happy with the typical portrayal. I found a few snippets while researching that suggested that sirens are psychopomps; that they escort the souls of the dead to the Underworld. This I liked very much. When I started writing it, I discovered it was a modern AU, who knew? There is a sculpture of siren who is a bird-woman; there's another called the Siren of Canosa, which is noted to "expose psychopomp characteristics". These definitely caught my attention. So here's what happens when a psychopomp is called to the death of someone very important to her.

Of Love and Loyalty
by Darth_Cannizard
Hux’s men admire their Grand Marshal. That is common knowledge. Supreme Leader Kylo Ren recognized the usefulness of this fact long time ago. It makes the soldiers and higher ranks loyal. But he would never have thought – feared – one of them would actually act upon the feeling. Companion piece to "Of Love and Bravery"

Strictly Professional
by secretlymothman
“I had hoped,” he said stiffly, “that you would accompany me to the planet’s surface in order to uphold the illusion of a traditional pairing.” The words hung heavily in the air. Oh. Understanding dawned all at once. “Sir,” she said slowly, careful to keep her voice steady, “you want me to pretend to be your wife?”

Love, Love, Peace, Peace (and a *definitely fake* relationship)
by midwinterspring
"It's perfect," Leia went on, ignoring the reaction. "The Holovision Song Contest is all about soft power. Presenting an idealized image as a political tool. Imagine how inspiring it will be - two former enemies singing a duet! And the next generation of Force users too! Who will be able to top that? Love and peace, all in one!" "Love?" asked Rey, hoping her voice wasn't squeaking. Kaydel had been quiet so far, but her eyes lit up at that. "Oh yes! Poe and I think that your act will be unstoppable if you act like a couple in love. Really sell the romance!" "It's for the New Republic," said Leia seriously. A canonverse Eurovision fake dating AU.
