Death or Home
by MoonyBeasty
The winter had been harsh and unforgiving. On his trek back to Moomin Valley, Snufkin has grown tired and weak from hunger. Any predators that may lurk in the wilderness have eaten most prey, the fish won’t bite, and it’s far too early in the year to hope for fruit. He’s been living off roots and needles, but it’s not enough for him. Finally he finds a small patch of possibly poisonous mushrooms, and Snufkin decides to risk being poisoned rather than starve to death just before he reaches the valley. Snufkin arrives, but he does not play his harmonica, he is shaky and slow, and all goes black as he watches Moomin peek out his window. In other words- Snufkin hungry. He eat bad thing. He sick. Moomin scared and worried for friend. Snufkin has to sleep indoors for once. Lots spook. Lots fluff.

my moominstar
by aquageni
Moomintroll sighed in awe, something he seemed to be doing a lot of lately, closed his eyes and threw himself onto his back as well, "It sounds amazing, Snufkin. I would love to see it for myself one day."A sudden idea entered his mind. For a minute or two Snufkin contemplated over it, wondering whether he'd best even suggest it at all. He ultimately decided that he'd rather take a chance if it would help his friend, rather than do nothing at all.Leaning forwards over Moomintroll until the sudden shadow made the boy open his eyes, Snufkin looked down at him with a gentle smile, and a spark in his eyes."I could take you there."-In which Moomintroll has things on his mind, and Snufkin decides that he would rather see him back to his normal self again.

Love is a Thing with Feathers
by Icka M Chif (mischif)
Moomintroll learned about Swan Maidens from Mamma. Pappa liked to tell long winded stories, of grand adventures and daring deeds that he had seen and done, but Mamma’s stories were the best, told late at night when it was just the two of them, Moomintroll curled up in the warmth of his bed with the covers tucked up close. She told stories about a Swan Maiden who had a magical cape, that turned her into a swan, and she could fly so high and see many things of the world, and she would tell him of all the things the swan had seen.

Do Not Trifle With
by Bluewolves77
Moomintroll had always been told by others: "Do not trifle with mumriks." They were thieves and dangerous creatures that should be avoided at all costs. Yet Moomintroll had never once met or even seen a so-called mumrik in Moominvalley so doesn't give it much thought. At least not until he met an intriguing creature fishing beside a river. An alternate universe where Moomintroll and Snufkin met during different circumstances.
