He’d made a scene, called a friend and an Admin of all people assholes, and probably ruined his relationship with his partner, his best friend, beyond repair. Well… maybe not that last part. He’d stormed out of there in a pretty big hurry, though. He supposed that, if Schlatt wanted to talk, or even SEE him again for that matter, he knew where to find Connor. The key words there were ‘wanted to.’ --- After running into a man that he never thought he'd see again, Connor reminisces on the good old days.(or; the history of Connor's escapades in being a main character)

"We only have so much in the way of budget, Jawsh!" Berd practically whines. He's looking at Jawsh with an almost pathetic expression. "We can't afford to get something else." "Why do I have to wear some costume in the first place?" Jawsh shoots back, raising his voice a little. "We're not comic book superheroes! This is fucking stupid." The door suddenly slams open, and Berd and Jawsh are jolted out of their argument. Jawsh swears he can hear his ears ringing, and considers (just for a moment) writing a letter of resignation. (Or: the one about superpowered odd job contractors, a missing cat and a ransom note, a mysterious lone wolf, and economic schemes.)
