So...this is a personal work of mine that I wrote back in July of 2021. This year has been difficult in regards to me overcoming a lot of self struggle with my body. Because of my shape and size, I grew to be uncomfortable with myself. I hated the way I looked, my parents were constantly up my ass about my weight, my image, etc. This summer, I took a step towards overcoming this struggle. For the first time in years, I wore a two-piece bikini. Now, I know, it may not be a huge deal to you, reader, but I haven't worn a two piece in a long time. I would've wore a one piece and practically hide among several layers of clothing underneath it all. But I took a step and decided to overcome this. I never felt more free. Before I get carried away, Poseidon's Thoughts is written in the POV of the God of the Sea himself. It's strange to say this, but I felt him during my self-discovery/self-love journey. I'm happy to post this at the end of this year - shows how big of a step this was for me to accept and love myself. This is only the beginning. ♥ -Oni
Greek and Roman Mythology

Dry sobs and choked screams filled the beach of Tybee, crowds began to move away from the shore and onto dryer land. You sit up bringing a blush of sand with you, powdered on your bum, looking around you see the horrified faces of people unknown to you.

Mortals are nothing but trouble, if you ask the god of the sea.

This what I wrote for the reddit writing prompt: After many years with a corrupt and incompetent government and army ancient Greece's waters have become filled with crime. Poseidon, God of the sea, has decided to name a champion to purge his domain of this evil. For whatever reason, he's chosen you.

Poseidon keeps getting offerings from Percy’s baby sister. He doesn’t quite know how to feel about this small child vying for his attention…At the very least he would keep Zeus from blowing up whenever her prayers interrupted council meetings. Or Rick Riordan gave us Estelle Blofis and I am thrilled. She's going to get Poseidon to attend family events even if every god on Olympus kills her.

"Many of us care not for our demigod children," the man said, his voice deep and commanding. Jason's eyes widened as he realised who this visitor was, feeling like he'd been thrown overboard and told to swim for shore. He was Roman and rarely met the Gods, but had done his research on the Ancient Greek myths, on the stories older than Rome by thousands of years. Poseidon was not a god to trifle with or disrespect, and Jason was convinced he was about to die. He'd let Percy fall after all, and the Lord of the Seas would surely want to kill him for failing his son. For failing his favourite child. ~~~~~ Shortly after Percy and Annabeth fall into Tartarus, the Argo II gets a godly visitor.

Poseidon looks at Percy and decides " no you don't get to die" and focuses on turning Percy into a god.

“Hey, buddy, you shouldn’t be up! Did you need anything?” Poseidon froze. It took a great deal to surprise him but apparently, this was one of the few things that could stop him in his tracks. He didn’t think he’d ever been called buddy before. “Percy?” Paul pushed, still cleaning his glasses on his shirt. Ah. “I am not Percy,” Poseidon said. “Though, I shall take the confusion as a compliment.” — Otherwise Known As: Five times someone mistook Poseidon for Percy, and one time someone thought Percy was Poseidon instead.

Being a demigod doesn't pay too well (or, you know, at all) so Percy gets a job at a local restaurant. When girls ask him to switch tables with them to escape getting hit on by creepy guys, he always agrees. He's in for a bit of a surprise one night when he recognizes one of the creepy guys.

Poseidon was often called the father of monsters and even when he loathed to admit it, the name was apt. So when Perseus was born, Poseidon was prepared for the worst, another head, three times too many fingers, whatever it was, he would love it and try to protect it.Imagine his surprise when somehow, Percy came out with ten fingers and ten toes, perfectly normal looking and with a powerful lung. Of course, he’d had demigod children in the past, but it didn’t happen often for him to be graced with a real child.Who could then blame him, when he watched Perseus closely growing up, chest swollen with pride because he was perfect? Perfect like Triton, his heir, and so funny. It felt only natural to claim Perseus as his, the first opportunity he got, he was so proud to be able to present such a courageous and normal child. (Percy is anything but)or:Percy in a way he could've been, had things been slightly different

Poseidon wants his favorite son by his side for all of eternity. Zeus wants a great commander for his armies, to stand firm by their side when they need it, to point out their mistakes like nobody ever dares. Percy can’t imagine surviving eternity though. They come to a compromise.
