Fantastical childhood stories were more of his brother's thing. Shzeltis Castello, despite his curse, was a man of science, preferring the land - where he could stay grounded - as opposed to the sea - where he'd heard too many fairytales of demons and magic. And yet, after a dance with the very magic he denied Shzeltis is forced to make a decision: find a way off the ship he's prisoner on, or rot into oblivion. Not much of a choice there. Despite never sailing before, a life with little promise may grow to teach him more about his world than he would've ever known. And teach him that he has a much bigger part in a game he never signed up to play. (There are two different versions of this story. One where they're human and one where they're cats n stuff. I literally couldn't decide whether or not I wanted them to be cats or humans so I just did both idk)
