all this feels strange and untrue

by grassandcitrus

Salim has known the name on his wrist says "Jason Kolchek" for years by the time he meets a Jason in the House of Ashes. He cannot say if this Jason is his Jason, however.Jason knows there is Arabic on his wrist, and he hasn't investigated further than that. Ignorance is bliss, as they say.[Edit 11/28/21: New scene/dialogue changes/additions made because I wanted to add in a scene I forgot about!]

Kiss Me When Our War is Done

by orderlymess

Salim. The man who spared Jason's life when he saw him do the same for one of the shepherds they raided. The man who so defeatedly yet hopefully told him "no more killing" as he lowered his rifle. The Iraqi soldier who he risked his life for, and would risk his life for in a heartbeat, again and again. As many times as it would take. So he could escape that hell, so he could see his son again. There was definitely no other reason. *** this fic is based off of a tumblr post by @/potato-lord-but-not , thank you for this food i love these two <33
