at the end of the world (or the last thing i see)
by floradawn
Sam didn't get to hear the rest of his sergeant's sentence. It was in that moment that the hair on the back of his neck stood straight up. Before he could even say anything, a sound registered in the back of his brain, shocking and paralyzing. Something shifted underneath him, and a split second later he realized he was falling, the ground opening up beneath him as he plummeted, uninterrupted by his flailing arms, desperate to grab purchase to slow his descent. After what seemed like forever, he landed, a blinding pain shooting through him from head to toe as feet connected with an unforgiving surface.Momentarily paralyzed by the fear, confusion, and pain pulsing through his body, Sam didn't have to time to look up to see the avalanche of debris about to connect with his temple, transporting him into a peaceful oblivion. He welcomed it.ORA hot call gone wrong leaves Sam Braddock fighting for his life, while his team struggles to find out what the hell is going on.

Sam's first BBQ with Team one
by thek9kid
Sam was nervous about going to his first social gathering with Team One, having been on the team only three weeks with a frankly disastrous first impression. Thankfully things had improved since then and he really liked his new teammates, but Sam hated parties. Especially small parties like this where the only form of entertainment was talking to each other, another thing Sam hated Small Talk. He was going anyway though, he had to, he wanted this team to like him and accept him as more than just a teammate, but as a friend too. It's just Sam always had trouble making and keeping friends too, base hopping most of his childhood and adult life. He wanted Toronto to be Home, he wanted Team One to be Home.So he took a deep breath, exited his truck, and walked into the party, hoping that everything will go smoothly for once in his life.
