The boy always hung out with the robot even though he had no tasks to do.He was affectionately nicknamed Hachiko by Tommy. He asked why he was nicknamed that. The boy replied that he looked like a dog and loyal. He told him of a story of a dog named Hachiko that waited for his owner for 9 years.Sam Nook saw why the nickname fit him. His programming told him to be loyal to Tommy. He was made to be a companion to the boy. And he was glad that Tommy was his companion.

Sam Nook’s optics were shut off, sending him into complete darkness, and he felt his body lock up as well.“You’ll be security for something more important than the hotel, Sam Nook.” Sam sighed, and Sam Nook could pick up on the clenching of Sam’s jaw as it changed the sound of his speech.“WHAT WILL I BE GUARDING INSTEAD, AWESAMDUDE?” Sam Nook asked silently through Sam’s communicator, the high-pitched garble of his voice mute as his speaker was switched off. “You’ll be guarding the prison from now on, Sam Nook.”
