Sam Scott is more than a simple fisherman, and Jason Scott is more than just his son, the football player, the occasional orchestrator of foolish pranks. Sometimes, he's the taskmaster of petty thefts. Oh, and he just so happens to be a Power Ranger.

Jason wasn't expecting visitors on his day off, and he also wasn't expecting his dad to come home and yell at him about his new friends who have made him happier than he's ever been.He also wasn't expecting his friends to step in when he needed them. Maybe he needs to pay more attention.

“I’m not hungover, I swear.” Jason lets his head fall back to the toilet seat and shuts his eyes. “Then you either ate something bad or picked up a bug.” Sam crosses the tile and leans down, sliding his hand over his son’s forehead. A fierce heat he didn’t quite anticipate licks at his palm like a flame and Sam hisses through his teeth. “Definitely a bug,” he mutters. “You’re burning up.”

[Completed] Before the coins, before Zordon, before the Power Rangers – there was only Jason, and he’d just spent three nights in jail for the stupid prank gone wrong. He was still in the clothes he was arrested in, he looked terrible, he felt terrible and his knee was absolutely killing him. The first thing he wanted to do when he stepped through the door of his room was go to sleep and never wake up again.Little did he know that his wish almost turned out to be reality.

What didn't Raymond Reddington want Sam to tell Lizzie? If it's not that Raymond Reddington is her biological father, what else could it be? Pure speculation based on the eternal LBD potential of this show and how well it fits in the same universe as SHIELD. Spoilers (including some exact dialogue) for Blacklist S1x08.

Jason Scott, before everything, was a human being. A boy. Not the quarterback or the failed son. Or even the Red Ranger. To him, his life came in two stages.

Just a couple of moments between Sam and Jason, that makes Jason really suspicious of just how much his dad really knows.
