Both Neptune and Saturn followed, still gazing at him like he was one of those Earthling puzzles they needed to put together. What were they even waiting for? X was gone. The challenge was over. Cursing slightly under his breath, Uranus materialized his hairbrush in his hand, running it through the parts of his hair that he could most easily reach before attempting to brush the hardest parts, frustration building the more attempts it took to even just pass the brush through his hair a couple of times. “Uranus?” Shocked out of his focus, Uranus almost dropped the brush, barely catching it with the tips of his fingers and gripping it harder. Turning, he was met with Saturn’s humanoid form, his eyes wide and earnest - and entirely focused on Uranus. “Saturn!” Uranus said, slightly panicked. His hands clutched the brush even tighter, his knuckles probably turning white with the force. “What are you doing over here?” His eyes roved over the giant’s form - Saturn’s hair, usually falling straight down his back in a graceful wave, was instead contained tightly in a bun on top of his head, the luminous rings illuminated from behind in the sun’s light. Or; Uranus's braid needs to be redone - Neptune is nowhere to be found to help, but Saturn offers!

“Saturn?” Jupiter tilted his head to the side just slightly, trying to catch his eyes. “You want to say something, don’t you?” For a moment there was nothing but silence. And then— “Why…?” Saturn’s brow knit, his lips pressed together with clear frustration—and then the words burst out of him like they physically hurt to say. “Why didn’t you let me help you? It’s my fault too. I played just as much of a hand in encouraging you to go through the Asteroid Belt, I—” He dipped his head, cutting himself off with a high, frustrated sound. Jupiter just let him talk, sure that this was something Saturn needed to say. Or; Jupiter and Saturn have a talk after his return.

They were special, weren’t they? He finally had something separating him from Neptune… something that wasn’t his horrid tilt. That wasn’t the hydrogen sulfide of his atmosphere (stars above, he hated when anyone pointed that out. It wasn’t like he could control the gases he’d been made of). Something that was just his, a more magnificent ring system than any of the other planets had. Nothing like the dusty, barely noticeable rings they all had. His shone when they caught the light. He really could stare at them forever. Or; Uranus had his rings for a long time before Saturn gained his.

His eyes were locked onto his moons. Hurt. Titan especially. Even from the distance, Saturn could see the spiderweb-like cracks that ran all over his surface- was he unconscious? Did X actually knock him out? Or did he- Cosmos, please no. "Please." A breathless whimper slipped past Saturn's lips, eyes filling up with tears as he covered his mouth. His vision blurred, turning everything into shapeless blobs. He- he couldn't count his moons. They kept moving, Saturn's vision wasn't great, there were too many out there. He couldn't tell if anyone was missing. If anyone was- Please. His breath hitched as the first tears spilled, making him press his hand more against his lips. Saturn was completely frozen and still, ringing taking over his hearing as that single thought looped in his mind. Let them be okay. Please, let them all be okay. OrAfter the battle against Planet X Saturn takes care of his moons... and Jupiter's.
