Death Swap
by TheTriggeredHappy
"Anonymous asked: Consider: the scene in the comics where Scout dies, but instead it's Spy who's dying and he actually has the balls to tell Scout the truth face-to-face before it's too late."Instead of Scout being the one bleeding out in a hallway surrounded by broken mech, it's Spy.
Team Fortress 2
Spy, Scout, Father, Son
by kat_writes_stuff
Spy was an enigma, shrouded in mystery, hidden behind layers of personas and well crafted lies he'd built up from all his years as an assassin. He's kept his secrets locked behind his facade, tried his damndest to keep his true feelings bottled up, lest it came back to bite him in the arse. And in a way, it did.He was a 48 year old man, brought to the brink of an emotional meltdown by his 27 year old son. His son, his Jeremy, his dumb, beloved boy.

pick it all up (and start again)
by bugbee
The clues had always been there, he had just never wanted to see them. Maybe neither of them had, instead content to deny the truth before their eyes for the rest of their days because it was better than confronting the alternative. Except Scout had died, and Spy wasn’t able to keep on pretending for his last moments. A part of Jeremy was glad for it, despite the simmering rage and betrayal and hurt. So when he tried to look God in the eye and tell Him that Tom Jones was his father... He couldn’t. Not really. (Scout discusses his parentage with God, and stays dead for a little while longer. Well. A lot longer. On the plus side, he gets to attend his own funeral reception.)

Late Is Better Than
by meow_wow
Scout and Sniper have technically known each other for more than five years, but only as distant colleagues. When a chance encounter causes them to see each other in a different light, they find they have more in common than either of them could've ever imagined. And maybe, just maybe, there are more than just feelings of friendship bubbling beneath the surface of their newfound closeness.

Switch
by salainen
Scout eats Merasmus' yogurt. A curse is laid, bodies are switched, shenanigans happen. Perhaps even a lesson is learned, but probably not.
