Secretariat, unfortunately, has other plans. Armed with a secretly-decorated paddock, a handmade bracelet, and far too many carnations, he drags Sham into the most theatrical “non-date” the backstretch has ever seen. Sham insists she hates Valentine’s Day right up until her stomach starts doing flips, Pancho nearly has a coronary, and five stolen minutes turn into something that feels an awful lot like the start of them.
