Sure enough, Sonic stopped as soon as he reached a man-hole. He kneeled down and pushed the lid on top of it aside, and only seconds later, the hedgehog was diving inside. Shard groaned again, this time out loud.This was going to make everything a lot harder.“Agent Ace,” Shard spoke up after activating his comm, “this is Sign Jack. We’ve got a bit of a problem here…”“What?” Silver’s voice was crackling with static- no doubt the underground generator was responsible. “Jack, I can’t hear- wooosh- the comms aren’t worki- woooooosh-” The comm dissolved entirely into static.“Ace? Ace?? You copy?”No answer.“Oh, this is gonna be real fun,” Shard muttered sarcastically.

Previous work in this timeline: ProgramComputers illuminated the what would otherwise be pitch black room, washing over the currently seated Dr. Eggman as he stared at one of the many screens in front of him. A beep emanated from one of the speakers installed in the console below, indicating an incoming transmission. He answered it."Ah, Phage!" Eggman greeted, a pleased smile now spreading across his lips. "I was wondering when I'd hear from you again. [Expect this to be Pre-SGW, so none of the characters Post-SGW will appear.]After Shard his memories to the archives, his consciousness remained untouched until Nicole returned from exile and went to her little A.I. world. There, she would look through the memories until she stumbled upon the last of his. She would open and 'revive' him. Shard was now stuck in the A.I. world until someone rebuilt him. He would remain there most of the time but also spend time with Nicole, talking about stuff. After getting rebuilt (again), he would finally go outside and walk around, talking with the others. He will always say he will confess his feelings but never do it. His self-doubts always overwhelm him. Will she reject him? Will she accept him? Will she even say yes? Those types of questions. Eventually, at some point, his feelings are shown, and Nicole finally starts having feelings for him. The story will surely be a mess (for me to write).
