That being said, there was a lot Bobby did know. The sounds of his own house, for example. He knew each creak and groan by heart, which was why when the Winchesters were halfway across the country and he heard the floorboards shifting under someone's weight, Bobby knew he wasn’t alone.

And maybe Bobby should be more sympathetic about John. John watched his wife burn, and Bobby watched Karen’s eyes turn black and his own bullet spray her brains across the room. Bobby knows. But he’s never had much patience even for himself; he damn well doesn’t have any to spare on John Winchester.
