The one, the only, Booster Gold is feeling a bit under the weather. Can he survive an unknown illness, the media's ire, and his old enemies? This is a self indulgent sickfic with my boy Booster. Based mostly off his original run, although generous liberties on the order of events are being used.

Booster was never ashamed of liking men growing up.It never bothered him because he never thought it should have. Not being straight wasn’t frowned upon, it wasn't stigmatized or ridiculed. It was just a part of life, an ordinary occurrence.Booster knew the past was less than accepting, but after arriving in 1986, Booster was not prepared for this harsh reality.

Theoretically, if you lined them all up next to each other, there’s probably a long list of heroes and their mentees who Red Robin’s done a solid over the years. But, like… he’s honestly Just A Guy? Just a guy, doin’ his best.Right now, he’s a guy doing his best to help create a first-of-its-kind computer system, one powerful enough to support the computing power of an android mind and do everything the Batcave and the Clocktower can do, but on a global scale instead of a Gotham one, for the Justice League instead of the Bats and Birds.Tim’s busy right now, is the point. There is approximately no portion of his brain currently dedicated to considering who in the JL might have reason to view him in a favorable light. Quite the contrary, actually. He’s been known to be a bit abrasive, and he knows he has a reputation for being a conniving little shit.So he’s not surprised or annoyed when someone comes to pull him out of his work – he also wouldn’t trust him to be this deep in the programming of something this important. Mostly he’s just surprised it took them so long to send someone to get him out.
