The sequel for the Spirit of the Forest storyline. Nibel was restored thanks to the sacrifice of Kuro and the valiant efforts of Ori, Sein and allies. Its heroes took a time to gather their minds while life moved on and new life arose. A survivor from a conflict of old was born. A shadow that could change the fate of the Light, forever.

The young spirit Ori was prematurely separated from the Spirit Tree. These unexpected turn of events creates challenges in his early life. Luckily he has Naru to guide him and keep him safe. At least, for as long as she is able to. The rapid decay of Nibel forces Ori away from home, into the unknown woods where monsters watch and wait.

Ori is unwillingly granted their Spirit form by an evil Light Spirit who wanted the Spirit Tree for himself. With nothing left in Niwen to help them fight back, they take Gumo with them to a new island to regain their strength. What will they encounter in the island of Nimor? Friends? Foes? Everything in between? Well, I'm not gonna sit here and tell you everything. That's what, you know, reading the fic is for. So, yeah, do that. Pretty please.

Nibel's Blindness is a rewritten version of Ori, the game created by Moon Studios. To add some extra flavor, this story also draws inspiration from the 7FF created by Dana. That said, I want to make it clear: there will be a lot of changes to the... "lore." And by "a lot," I mean a lot. The story might still feel reminiscent of the games in some ways... maybe? Perhaps?... but at the same time, it's going to be something entirely different.Uuuh... I think that's everything I wanted to share for now! :)

Sein has always felt… disconnected from Nibel. She plays a vital role in the survival of the forest, sure, but she is somewhat isolated from the goings-on of its inhabitants, nestled as she is in her cradle of branches high in the air. Even at the heart of the forest, enveloped in the leafy embrace of the forest’s center of life, Sein is… alone. That all changes when she discovers how to craft a new physical body for herself, but when several terrible events fall upon Nibel, the Spirit Tree is weakened, and the forest goes blind. Now, trapped in a weakened spirit form, Sein must help the last surviving spirit on a quest to save their home, and discover where it is she truly belongs.

For all that Ori saved Nibel, he wasn't exactly the ideal hero and did a lot of mistakes through his adventure. And given the nature of video games and one where a significant part of the world is made of spikes, such as Ori & The Blind Forest, it leaves the chance of messing up a jump or failing to dodge some other obstacle to be rather high. Especially given Ori's young age. From the perspective of a player, those failed timelines are immediately aborted, with Ori vanishing in a puff of light motes and the game backpedaling to your last Soul Link, pretending Ori didn't just die.... let's look at this situation from a bit more in-universe perspective, shall we?

Wouldn’t it be nice if everyone could always act true to themselves?(How might a Monster Management Company arise in a world of Spirit Trees and Decay?)

It's been six months since the calamity that befell the peaceful forest of Nibel. Those that survived the ordeal still suffer from trauma that is different for each individual. Sein and the Spirit Tree are the most on-edge and nobody blames them for it.During a weekly examination of the forest's lifeforms, they notice a new signature. One that belongs to a person. Many critters flock to Nibel to find a new home but it's incredibly rare for a person to come here, accidently or not. The wisp and tree keep a close watch on this traveller, this stranger,A Foreigner in Nibel.

“Hello, creature of Light!”“We here at Candle Corporation formally invite you to visit our dying, Decayed world.”The sole Candle Corporation facility stands alone, in a world that ended long ago. This alternate Lobotomy Corporation, its story flipped upside down and turned inside out, seeks to restore Light to its world. How might it have developed, in this more forgiving world - where death is no longer the end?(You shouldn’t need to read the previous entry to understand this story.)
