Starsky and Hutch get an undercover assignment: playing gay to infiltrate a notorious mobster's inner circle.--Scratch that, actually. The detective coordinating the sting only wants one of them; he has to be the other half of the couple. Somehow that feels like way more of a problem.

Insomnia is bad; nightmares are worse. Sharing a bed with your partner is a pretty good cure-all, unless being in love with him gets the better of you.

Somewhere in the release Starsky felt the press of lips through his curls. When Hutch's left arm came up to complete the circle he was held in, he did as he had done long ago on a rickety step, he buried himself in his partner and gave his pain and suffering up to another. No smell of warm leather this time, but the echoing sense of being safe and being home filled him just the same.

It's older Starsky and Hutch. It's House at his crankiest. They collide at Princeton Plainsboro when Starsky comes down with something that House can't figure out, mainly because he's trying to figure out why 2 old cops make him want to kiss Wilson. excerpt: For just a moment, House contemplated flight. This was already more complicated than it should be. Cuddy had her nose up in it, Wilson was hovering, and Blondie was starting to annoy him. But then the man in the bed spoke. “Hello - remember me? The patient? Do I get a voice or do I have to just lay here wondering when I got too old or when nurses got so damn young?” He smiled at House. “I’m Dave Starsky. And the sulking man there is my partner, Ken Hutchinson. I promise he won’t bite and I promise he won’t shoot you unless you deserve it. Jimmy told us about you - said you’re the best.” “Who said I won’t shoot him?” Hutch muttered and crossed his arms in front of him.

Once at Hutch's, Starsky slept on the couch as they both knew he would, while Hutch pottered and spritzed. His plants had not all taken well to Hutch's frequent absences and a few required immediate attention. Which was fine by Hutch. Nothing shifted his mind into neutral like his plants, and he was soon lost in the contentment of his greenhouse. So much so that he didn't notice Starsky, leaning against the doorframe watching him, an almost wistful expression on his face. "Such devotion, Blondie. Wish I was a Boston fern."
