The Transformers (IDW Generation One)+1
Never Hope
by SemanticSunset
A story about existential anguish, desperation, and maybe even hope..Tailgate had little time to react as the ground wailed suddenly and gave way beneath him. He fell through the metallic crust and gave to the pull of Cybertron’s gravity. He tried to grab anything to stop his fall but anything he managed to snag snapped in his servos. The solid floor below rose quickly to meet him. The weight of his trailer bore down on his back. It would crush him when the floor caught them, Tailgate realized despairingly. He would be wrecked. And then Tailgate crashed, stopping suddenly against the metal below. His trailer landed directly on him, pinning his lower half. New sensations bloomed up Tailgate’s spinal circuits; and although new, the feeling was instinctually recognizable: raw, undampened pain..(re-written and re-organized again, thanks)
