The sharp cries grew louder, cutting through the chaos of his thoughts, but Uranus remained rooted in place, staring at the impossibly small body in front of him. The tiny thing was curled up, trembling, sobbing its little heart out. Oh, oh, was this what Uranus swatted away? Where was their planet- they didn't even look done developing, Uranus must have hurt them-  "...Where did you come from?" He found himself asking, instinctively reaching out with his large hands to lift them up- but froze when their crying lessened when he approached.  "Moon." The familiar calls in his mind started, causing his breath to hitch. His heart picked up speed, beating faster and faster-  "Yours. Your moon. Baby. Satellite. Yours." OrWhen trying to come up with the perfect apology for his moons, Uranus gets a little surprise... and reacts the same way he reacted with his first.  Or  On November 4 2023 a new moon of Uranus was spotted. Its existence was confirmed on February 23 2024.Meaning that during the moon revolution, Uranus' total moon count went up to 28.

I think that’s the number I remember.” Uranus lifted his head slightly, tilting his rings further out of his field of vision so he could look at all of the moons. “Actually, there’s 145 here. Titan’s with Earth, remember? I’m sure Saturn’s too busy worrying about him to even think of the rest of us with you.” The moon who had spoken up earlier answered him, her arms still crossed over her chest as she looked up. Uranus frowned, his brow furrowing just slightly. “Why in the blazes would he do that?” “Saturn only cares about Titan. It’s obvious. He’s the only whose name he cares to remember, and he’s always looking for Titan no matter what the rest of us moons are doing.” The moon rolled her eyes, and the moons around her nodded in agreement. He scrambled up onto his feet, silent as ever, feeling like he suddenly needed to get away from all of the stares. Both Neptune and Saturn followed, still gazing at him like he was one of those Earthling puzzles they needed to put together. What were they even waiting for? X was gone. The challenge was over. They were special, weren’t they? He finally had something separating him from Neptune… something that wasn’t his horrid tilt. That wasn’t the hydrogen sulfide of his atmosphere (stars above, he hated when anyone pointed that out. It wasn’t like he could control the gases he’d been made of). Something that was just his, a more magnificent ring system than any of the other planets had. Nothing like the dusty, barely noticeable rings they all had. His shone when they caught the light. He really could stare at them forever. Or; Uranus had his rings for a long time before Saturn gained his.

Uranus swallowed hard, set his shoulders back, and continued on in the direction Jupiter had come from in the fastest speed he could muster, passing through X-Ju-through the first orbit beyond the Asteroid Belt, and then Saturn’s, and then his orbit… and he didn’t stop. Or; Uranus makes a decision in the wake of X's disappearance.

Uranus stared after Neptune’s retreating back, his thoughts spinning around in his head so fast it almost hurt. Revenge? This wasn’t revenge. Uranus just wanted things to be better for himself, and for….and for Neptune. Better for everyone. Sure, Saturn probably wouldn’t deal well with Neptune’s orbit, but… he’d eventually adjust. He had even more moons to talk to. And they weren’t childlike moons, not like Neptune’s! He could talk to them even with the distance of Neptune’s orbit. And… it wasn’t like Uranus wouldn’t visit him. Yeah. Uranus frowned, hiking his shoulders up as he watched X’s progress. Saturn would be fine. This would only benefit them all. It… it wasn’t revenge. Or; Uranus has a talk with X after Neptune's statement.

However, he did know that his orbit felt wrong. There wasn't that characteristic pull - either of him pulling something or something pulling him.He was definitely pulling something. His moons, things in the belt where his moons used to be, and......That's it. His cousin. He wasn't pulling his cousin. His cousin wasn't pulling him. Uranus has gone missing, and Neptune sets off to find him. Set after Jupiter is Back Part 2!

Uranus is a strange planet, particularly because he is not someone who is often remembered, its as though he is not really there, a ghost planet. He is always there and yet he is never noticed, nobody ever calls his name and no one knows why he gives off such a strange aura. Well- except those who know obviously.(Its hard to keep a secret from your star and best friend when you need to tell them about things that concern it...) Or, Based off the quote that sorta goes like "I'm only alive when someone remembers me" (i cant rmbr the original but this is what i took inspo off of)this was just an excuse to supply more Uranus centered fanfics and au's cuz tehre aint enough! (Not at all where my original idea was going so i'll probs end up making a second one with that and this is just the derailed version... still think its sorta fun tho (also probs really ooc cuz- duh))
