Without thinking, Valir’s eyes traced the curve of his shins, up his thighs, along the arch of his back and met Vale’s as the boy turned around to make eye contact. Pretty, he thought, but didn't realise he had.  Vale and Valir learns what it means to be a friend throughout the course of their childhood. Or not (they want more).Or not, but different (they can't have more).
