Vecna gets to Will the MINUTE he is in range because that boy has trauma the size of Jupiter. > “I sensed you the minute you came back into Hawkins. I sensed you years ago when you entered my domain, but I was not awakened then as I am now. I can help you, Will Byers. You can be normal. All you have to do is join us. I can fix you.”

So maybe he had been getting headaches and nosebleeds a little more frequently then usual but that wasn’t really an issue, what with having had three concussions over the past few years. Headaches and bloody noses just weren’t really that big of a deal to him. And so what if the increase in nightmares that he had, had that week were leaving him more sleep deprived than usual. It was probably just stress. Max being cursed, Chrissy, Fred and Patrick’s murders, Jason, all of those things would cause extra stress. And maybe if he had actually gotten more then three hours of broken up sleep a night he would have dealt with this better. Or: Steve blames his lack of sleep

Once or twice, when Henry was young, he wondered how it would feel, to be hugged, as he watched his parents hug his little sister. He quickly abandoned such nonsense -- the desire to be held -- when he grew older. He didn't need hugs, stopped wanting them, even before he became Peter Ballard. He certainly didn't need one, and would most definitely never receive one, as a monster haunting the Upside Down. The thing is, life worked in a funny way sometimes. Who would've thought he'd have his first hug after he became a literal monster?Vecna got a hug, and no, his first hug wasn't when he posed as Max's mom. It was way before that.

There must have been another reason for it. Something that he hadn’t thought of. Maybe the answer hadn’t occurred yet, and it was lingering in the distance, preparing to reveal itself and strike when its time had come. Or maybe it already had, and Eddie was searching, like a blind bat, for something that had already been shown to him.Maybe he was always supposed to find his way into the Upside Down.____________OR: Instead of Nancy, Eddie gets cursed by Vecna in Episode 7.
